Valley Mill Road Relocation Study – Frederick County

Study Overview

Among the recommendations from a VDOT STARS study of Route 7 is the realignment of Valley Mill Road to intersect Route 7 at Gateway Drive, eliminating the existing signalized intersection of Valley Mill Road at I-81 and Route 7, to reduce delay and the frequency of crashes on Route 7. This study will determine the optimal relocation alignment and roadway geometry and estimate engineering, right-of-way and construction costs.
